OVERVIEW:
The Department of History at Khunta Degree Mahavidyalaya, located in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, plays a significant role in providing higher education to the local tribal population. Established in 1993-94, the college aims to promote higher education in this tribal area, addressing the educational needs of the community. The department is part of the Arts stream and offers comprehensive courses in history, guided by experienced faculty members dedicated to academic excellence.
The Head of the Department, Saroj Ranjan Tripathy, has been with the college since its inception, bringing extensive knowledge and leadership to the department. Alongside him, Pradeep Kumar Behera, a lecturer with a focus on historical studies, contributes to the academic environment, ensuring students receive a robust education in history.
